what's happening in my head
Mental illnesses often remain unseen and hidden. Those affected fight their battles internally, concealing them behind a facade of positive normality. This project, titled „What‘s Happening in my Head,“ delves into the inner world of people affected by mental illness.
The project focuses on the conditions of depression and bulimia. For this series, three individuals affected by a mental illness volunteered to provide a glimpse into their deepest inner selves. The photo series visualizes what goes on in the minds of the af-
fected, how they feel, and also how their bodies respond. The focus is not on outward appearances but rather on the internal struggles that often go unnoticed by outsiders. Every story is based on the real experiences and feelings of the affected individuals, allowing the viewer to look beneath the surface and recognize the silent battles they face.

Beyern mit ey
Beyern mit ey is a photography book inspired by my grandfather, who loves country life and loves Beyern.
When I was a child I never appreciated Beyern, I always wanted to go back to the city - however, since I moved out, I have learned to love the village. I learned that it‘s not just a small, boring place - moreover it is my home.
This photo-book is a love letter to Beyern, from me and many residents, who tell stories about their home and connections to our small village.
